GLOSSIER: The Ultimate Phase One Set Review
The moment I discovered Glossier, I was hooked.
From the simply adorable packaging, to the Pantone 705C, to the promised look of the ultimate 'no makeup makeup', Glossier is the beauty line that keeps me coming back for more.
Glossier was born from the popular beauty blog, Into The Gloss. The blog's creator, Emily Weiss, was a Vogue fashion assistant at the time she created the blog. She always intended for Into The Gloss to evolve into a line of products. Glossier is a beauty company for the everyday, real-life, real girl, who wants skincare and makeup to be easy, feel luxurious, and to work. The Glossier girl is cool, and hustlin' at life. She has freckles and boy problems like everyone else, but doesn't want to cover either up. She feels a closeness to Glossier, like when Emily Weiss likes one of her photos on Instagram, she's just like "Oh hey girl, thanks for the like!"
But you guys...Emily Weiss DID like one of my Instagram photos once and I was actually freaking out. I even screen-shot it. PROOF:
If you're new to Glossier, and interested in trying it out (a.k.a. changing your beauty game forever), this is where you'll start.
_Glossier Phase One Set
Milky Jelly Cleanser
A super gentle, non-foaming cleanser that smells of a dreamy rose garden. The bouncy jelly texture feels smooth and conditioning since it contains ingredients like Pro-Vitamin B5 and Comfrey Root Extract. My favorite feature about Milky Jelly is using it on dry skin to remove my makeup! Slides right off. And then in the morning I use it on wet skin to refresh my skin for the day.
This is a super light yet totally hydrating creme. It's priming, reduces redness, leaves my skin looking sparkly (in a good way) and dewy. I like to think it makes me look very healthy and youthful, like I just woke up in my Parisian apartment and the sun is shinning and all I have to do today is explore and look amazing.
Perfecting Skin Tint
THIS. If you hate foundation, buy this. This watery, sheer tint works like skincare but has coverage like makeup. It's moisturizing and gives just enough coverage to even out skin discoloration. Feels like skin, looks like skin. I use the shade Dark.
This is a skin salve that has many uses. I use it on my lips, cuticles, and even a bit to my cheekbone as a highlighter.
This may be my holy grail product line. I've repurchased the Phase 1 Set twice, along with other Glossier goodies. Expect reviews of those soon; and spoiler alert...they're also perfection.
